Amazing oatmeal cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup salted butter, softened
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1.5 cups premium flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 0.5 tsp of soda
  • 3 cups of oatmeal

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C.
  2. In the bowl of an electric mixer (or using a hand mixer), beat the brown sugar and butter until fluffy. Stir in the vanilla extract. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking soda. Add to the butter mixture in 2-3 additions, mixing after each addition. Stir in the oats, distributing them evenly.
  4. Spoon the dough into mounds on a baking sheet, spacing them a few centimeters apart. Bake until golden brown, 12-13 minutes for soft cookies. If you prefer crispier cookies, bake a little longer!
  5. Let the cookies cool slightly on the baking sheets, then transfer to a plate and serve.

    Note

    Add 0.5 cups of finely chopped nuts to the dough if you like a nutty flavor and crunch.
