topcook.tomathouse.com

Ingredients:

  • 450 g of ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, stemmed, seeded and chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 0.5 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 can (400 g) of canned chopped tomatoes
  • 1 can (400 g) of tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 2/3 cup tomato juice
  • A pinch of sugar
  • 450 g of pasta horns

Preparation:

  1. Heat the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and bell pepper and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook, stirring, for about 1 minute. Then add the ground beef and continue cooking, stirring and breaking up the pieces with a spoon. Cook until the meat is darkened, about 7 minutes. Sprinkle the meat with herbs and black pepper, season with salt to taste, and mix well.
  2. Add the canned tomatoes with their juices, tomato sauce, paste, and juice. Add sugar to taste. Simmer over low heat while you cook the pasta.
  3. Bring a large saucepan of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add the pasta and cook, stirring occasionally, until al dente. Drain. Toss the pasta with the chop suey. Serve hot.
