Fried chicken with pasta

Ingredients:

  • 450 g dry penne pasta
  • 2 chicken fillets, cut into strips
  • 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 3 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons coarsely chopped fresh parsley, for serving
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 0.5 tbsp. grated parmesan

Preparation:

  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente. Drain.
  2. Season the chicken with salt and black pepper. Heat a large grill pan over medium heat and add the chicken. Cook until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and slice thinly.
  3. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes to the pan along with 3 tablespoons of olive oil and sauté until fragrant. Add the cooked pasta and turn off the heat. Stir to combine.
  4. Transfer the pasta to a large bowl. Add the chicken to the warm pasta and season with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with finely chopped parsley. Add the juice of 2 lemons and toss. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
