Smoked salmon appetizer with cucumber

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (110 g) thinly sliced ​​smoked salmon
  • 1 large cucumber
  • 2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoons poppy seeds
  • 1 tsp. dried onion flakes
  • 1 teaspoon dried garlic flakes
  • 0.5 tsp coarsely ground black pepper
  • 1.5 tsp sea salt flakes
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill + whole sprigs for serving
  • Zest of 1 lemon

Preparation:

  1. In a small bowl, mix the seasoning: sesame seeds, poppy seeds, onion flakes, garlic flakes, black pepper, and 0.5 teaspoon sea salt. In a separate bowl, combine sour cream, dill, lemon zest, and the remaining 1 teaspoon sea salt.
  2. Peel the cucumber, running a knife from tip to tip, leaving small strips of peel. Using a mandoline or a knife, slice the cucumber diagonally into 0.5 cm thick slices. Cut the fish into 5 cm strips.
  3. Place the cucumber slices on a platter. Top each cucumber with about 0.5 teaspoon of the sour cream mixture. Layer the smoked salmon strips and place them on top of the sour cream. Before serving, garnish with dill sprigs and sprinkle with the spice mixture.
