Sweet potato fries with basil salt and garlic mayonnaise topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 5 sweet potatoes, cut into strips about 2 x 7 cm, like French fries
- 3 tbsp. l. olive oil
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves
- 2 teaspoons coarse salt
- 0.5 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 200°C. Place the sweet potatoes on a foil-lined baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Bake until golden brown, about 45 minutes.
- Meanwhile, combine the basil, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. In another small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, garlic, and lemon juice.
- When you remove the sweet potatoes from the oven, sprinkle them with basil salt. Serve with garlic mayonnaise for dipping.
