Oven-dried tomatoes

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg plum tomatoes

Preparation:

  1. Halve 1 kg of plum tomatoes lengthwise. Place cut-side up on a baking sheet, season with salt, and let stand for 20 minutes.
  2. Bake in the oven at 120°C (250°F) until the tomatoes are slightly dry but still juicy, about 4 hours. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with thyme. If making a day ahead, refrigerate. Bring to room temperature before serving.
