Pina Pisco cocktail

topcook.tomathouse.com

Ingredients:

    Flavored pisco

  • 4 strips of orange zest
  • 2 sprigs of fresh mint
  • 2 bags of masala tea
  • 1 bottle of pisco

    Pina Pisco

  • Ice
  • 2 orange slices
  • A little pineapple juice
  • Seasoned salt to garnish the rim of the glass (a mixture of salt, sugar and crushed pink peppercorns)
  • Seltzer water to top off the cocktail
  • Frozen pineapple balls, for decoration

Preparation:

  1. Flavored pisco:

Add orange strips, mint sprigs, and tea bags to a bottle of pisco tea. Let it steep for at least 24 hours. The longer the tea steeps, the stronger the flavor will be. Carefully remove the tea bags.
  2. Pina Pisco:

Add some ice to a cocktail shaker. Squeeze the orange slices into the shaker (save the peel). Add a shot of flavored pisco and pineapple juice. Shake for about 30 seconds.
  3. Wet the rim of the glass with a squeezed orange wedge. Dip it in seasoned salt to ensure it sticks. Pour the contents of the shaker into the prepared glass. Top it off with a splash of seltzer water. Garnish with pineapple balls to keep the drink chilled.
