Iced cappuccino with Amaretto

Ingredients:

  • 0.5 cups of sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of water
  • Crushed ice
  • 2 cups freshly brewed espresso, chilled
  • 6 tbsp. l. Amaretto liqueur
  • 1 cup whole milk or heavy cream, chilled

Preparation:

  1. Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan and heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Let the sugar syrup cool completely.
  2. Fill 6 glasses (250-350 ml) halfway with crushed ice. Pour the espresso evenly into the glass.
  3. Pour 1 tablespoon of sugar syrup and 1 tablespoon of Amaretto into each glass. Stir. Top with milk and serve.
