White bread in a bread maker

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup warm water (about 25°C)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, diced, at room temperature
  • 2 tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp. l. skimmed milk powder
  • 1.5 tsp coarse salt
  • 3 cups of bread flour
  • 1 and 1/4 teaspoons of instant yeast
  • Special equipment: bread maker for baking weighing 900 g.

Preparation:

  1. Place the dough ingredients into the bread machine's baking pan in the following order: water, butter, sugar, milk powder, salt, bread flour, and yeast. Set the machine to bake a 700g loaf of regular bread (or just the dough, depending on your model) and start the cycle (see Note).
  2. Once the cycle is complete, immediately remove the bread from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.

    Settings, cycles, and cooking times may vary depending on your bread maker model. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions. This recipe was tested on a Cuisinart CBK-110 automatic bread maker.
