Ingredients:
- 450g fresh strawberries, hulled and halved, + 4 strawberries, hulled and chopped
- 3 tablespoons strawberry jam
- 2 tbsp. l. agave syrup
- Juice of half a lemon
- 2/3 cup milk
- 6 tablespoons cream cheese at room temperature
- 3 cups good quality strawberry ice cream
Preparation:
- In a blender, combine 16 oz (450 g) of strawberries with strawberry jam, agave, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth, about 20-30 seconds, then transfer to a container. The strawberry sauce can be made ahead of time and refrigerated for up to 5 days.
- In a blender, combine 1/2 cup strawberry sauce with the milk, cream cheese, ice cream, and the remaining 4 strawberries. Blend on high speed until smooth.
- To make one serving, pour 1/4 cup of the remaining strawberry sauce into a 12-ounce glass; swirl the sauce around the glass to coat the sides. Pour the milkshake into the glass. Drink immediately.
