Casserole of Roast Beef and Cheese Sandwiches topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 1 pack of dinner rolls (12 pcs.)
- 1 tbsp steak seasoning
- 450 g thin slices of roast beef
- 220 gr. grated processed cheddar
- 110 g of grated provolone
- 1/4 cup chipotle mayonnaise
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 110 g butter, melted
- 2 tbsp. l. grated onion
- 2 tbsp. l. grated parmesan
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 0.5 tsp chili flakes
- 12 pickled sweet or hot pepper rings
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 175°C.
- Cut the stapled buns in half horizontally and place the bottom half in a 22x32cm baking dish. Sprinkle the bread with steak seasoning and pile the roast beef on top. Sprinkle with grated cheddar.
- In a medium bowl, combine the provolone, mayonnaise, and green onions. Spread this mixture on the cut sides of the top buns. Place the top buns over the bottom buns.
- Combine butter, onion, Parmesan, Worcestershire sauce, and chili in a bowl. Pour the butter mixture over the buns. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and place a ring of pickled pepper on top of each bun. Bake for another 5 minutes to crisp the tops. The sandwiches will be very hot; let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
