Ingredients:
- 1.3 kg chicken wings, halved (discard tips)
- 0.5 cups honey
- 0.5 cups lightly salted soy sauce
- 1/4 tbsp. rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 chipotle peppers, chopped
- 1 tbsp. chopped ginger
- 3 green onions, thinly sliced
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Spray a large rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray. Place the wings on the baking sheet and lightly season with salt and pepper. Bake until cooked through and crispy, about 45 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, combine the honey, soy sauce, vinegar, butter, garlic, chipotle pepper, and ginger. Bring to a simmer and simmer over low heat until the sauce thickens to a syrupy consistency, about 15 minutes.
- Add the cooked wings to the bowl with the sauce. Stir to coat evenly. Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with green onions.
