Ingredients:
- 1 ginger root, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- 180 ml of rum
- 2 tbsp. wheat beer
- 2 tablespoons grated ginger
- Apple slices, for garnish
Preparation:
- Prepare ginger syrup: Combine sliced ginger, sugar, and 1 cup water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat and cook, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. Reduce heat to medium and simmer until thickened, 15-20 minutes. Strain and cool.
- Prepare each cocktail separately: Combine 2 tablespoons each of ginger syrup and apple juice, 45 ml of rum, and 3-4 pinches of grated ginger in a shaker filled with ice. Shake thoroughly and pour into a short glass. Top with 1/2 glass of beer and garnish with apple slices. Make the remaining cocktails.
