Deep-fried Mars bars topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 3/4 cup cold water
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 4 Mars bars
- Vegetable oil for frying
Preparation:
- Mix the flour, salt, and water until smooth, cover, and let sit at room temperature for 20–30 minutes. Stir baking powder into the batter. Place shortening or vegetable oil in the deep fryer, insert a thermometer, and heat on high. Dip the bars in the batter, letting any excess drip off. Deep-fry at 190°C (350°F) until golden brown. Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
