Quick Cheese Puffs topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- Flour for work
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp. grated parmesan
- 10-14 sprigs fresh thyme, leaves finely chopped
- Ground black pepper
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface using a floured rolling pin. Brush off any excess flour. In a small bowl, mix the mustard with a little water to make it thinner. Spread the mustard over the entire surface of the dough.
- In a small bowl, combine the cheese, thyme, and a pinch of black pepper. Sprinkle the cheese mixture over the entire sheet of dough. Gently roll the dough with a rolling pin to press the filling into it. Cut the dough into 5 cm squares and pinch two opposite corners of each square in the center, or leave them flat. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake until the puff pastries are puffed and golden brown, 10-14 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
