Ingredients:
- 220 g milk chocolate, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
- 6 - 8 small buns, cut each in half
- Whipped cream, for serving (optional)
Preparation:
- Place the milk chocolate and cocoa powder in a blender. Pour 2 cups of water into a saucepan and add the sugar. Place on the stove and heat, stirring, until the sugar dissolves.
Pour the hot sugar syrup into a blender; cover and pulse 4-5 times until smooth. Add salt, vanilla, and almond extract; stir. Transfer the mixture to a bowl, cover, and refrigerate for 2 hours.
- Stir the chocolate mixture, then place it in an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions. Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for 2 hours.
- Fill the buns with chocolate ice cream and cream.
