Ingredients:
- 450 g of pasta horns
- 2 tbsp (30 g) butter + extra for greasing the pan
- 3 cups whole milk
- 4 eggs
- 350 gr. yellow cheddar, grated (about 4 cups)
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 175°C. Grease a 3-quart casserole with butter.
- Bring a large saucepan of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until tender, about 7 minutes; drain well. Transfer the pasta to a large bowl, add the butter, and toss to coat.
- Whisk the milk, eggs, and 2 teaspoons of salt in a medium bowl. Add the milk-egg mixture and cheddar to the pasta and stir until evenly distributed. Transfer to the prepared casserole.
- Bake until the custard is set and the top of the casserole is golden brown and bubbly, 30 to 35 minutes.
