Chili with ground beef and carrots topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 200 g lean ground beef
- 400g canned black beans, rinsed
- 800 g canned baked chopped tomatoes
- 1 tbsp. l. olive oil
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 2 tbsp hot chili powder
- 1 medium red bell pepper, peeled and diced
- 4 peeled and grated carrots
- 1/2 tsp. brown sugar
- A pinch of salt
Preparation:
- In a large saucepan, heat the oil to medium. Add the garlic and green onions and cook for about 1 minute. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Stir in the chili powder.
- Add the tomatoes, beans, bell pepper, carrots, brown sugar, and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat. Cover and simmer the chili over low heat for 15 minutes.
Chef's tip: If you have more eaters, double the amount of minced meat.
