Cookies with chocolate filling topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
Preparation:
- Place a small saucepan over medium heat. Pour in the cream and heat until almost boiling (about 3 minutes). Turn off the heat and add the chocolate. Stir for 1-2 minutes, until the chocolate melts. Pour the mixture into a small bowl. Let the chocolate cool and thicken enough to roll into balls.
- When the chocolate has hardened, preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Pour the sugar into an empty pie pan. Roll the chocolate into teaspoon-sized balls and set aside. Form a walnut-sized lump of cookie dough into a thin rope about 8 cm long. Place the chocolate ball on the work surface and wrap the rope around it.
- Press the dough into the chocolate filling. The resulting shape should resemble the planet Saturn. Roll the cookies in sugar until completely coated. Place on a large baking sheet. Continue forming the remaining cookies and rolling them in sugar. Once all the balls are on the baking sheet, press them down to a thickness of about 0.6 cm using the bottom of a glass.
- Bake the cookies for 15 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool, then serve.
