Bananas Foster with Caramel topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 2 bananas, cut into 8mm thick slices.
- 2 tbsp (30 g) butter, room temperature
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup dulce de leche or your favorite caramel sauce
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving
- Small chocolate drops, for serving
Preparation:
- In a 12-inch nonstick skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the bananas in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Using a silicone spatula, flip the bananas over and lightly fry the other sides. Sprinkle with cinnamon and fry for another 30 seconds, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in gently Dulce de lecheSimmer for 1 minute, then remove to cool slightly. Serve over ice cream and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
