“Relish muffaletta” appetizer sauce

Preparation:

Grind the olives and pickled vegetables in a food processor. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add capers, onion, olive oil, lemon juice and a pinch of oregano, mix.

Note

This sauce is used as a filling in sandwiches made from Sicilian bread. Muffaletta.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup pitted olives
  • 1/2 cup chili stuffed olives
  • 1/2 cup pickled vegetables (Jardiniera)
  • 2 tbsp capers
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • A pinch of dried oregano
