Mashed potatoes with buttermilk, herbs and cheddar cheese topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 900 g potatoes, peeled and cut into quarters
- 120 g butter or 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 tbsp. sour milk
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh dill
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh chives
- 1 tbsp. grated cheese Cheddar
Preparation:
- Place the potatoes in a saucepan, add cold water until half-covered. Add 1 teaspoon of salt. Cover the saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat and simmer until the potatoes are tender. Drain, cover the saucepan with a clean towel, and let it sit for 3 minutes to allow the towel to absorb the steam.
- Add butter, sour milk, 2 teaspoons of salt, and pepper to taste to the potatoes and mash until smooth. Stir in chopped herbs and cheddar cheese.
