Spicy pizza with spices

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp. ground white pepper
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp coarsely ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp dried basilica
  • 2 skinless chicken breast fillets
  • Olive oil
  • 2 frozen spicy sausages for frying, defrost
  • 450 g ready-made pizza dough, room temperature (For the pizza dough recipe, see here.)
  • Wheat and corn flour, for dusting
  • 3/4 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 tbsp. grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced ​​pepperoni sausage
  • 2 tbsp. l. grated parmesan cheese
  • 8 fresh basil leaves, finely torn

Preparation:

  1. Place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven and preheat to 250°C.
  2. In a bowl, combine salt, cayenne pepper, white pepper, garlic powder, black pepper, cumin, and dried basil. Brush the chicken breasts with olive oil, then rub with the spices. Heat a skillet to medium-high heat. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until cooked through, about 7 minutes per side. Cook the sausages in the same skillet for 10-12 minutes. Cool slightly, then dice the chicken and crumble the sausage.
  3. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured work surface into a 30cm circle. Sprinkle another baking sheet with cornmeal and place the dough on top, then sprinkle with cornmeal again. Slide the pizza onto the hot baking sheet and bake until golden brown, about 7 minutes.
  4. Remove the pizza from the oven. Spread pizza sauce over it, then sprinkle with 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese. Top with the chicken, pepperoni, and sausage. Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 7 minutes. Sprinkle with basil.
